The timing below is typical, not guaranteed. Required labs, additional questions, video visits, pharmacy processing, weekends, holidays and shipping conditions can affect timing.

Typically days 1–2
Licensed clinical review
A licensed clinician reviews your information and prescribes only when appropriate. A brief video visit may be required based on your history or state requirements.

Pharmacy preparation
After approval and prescribing, a licensed pharmacy prepares your order. Questions or requests for more information appear in your portal message center.

Delivery to your door
Your order is prepared for shipment, with two-day shipping once it leaves the pharmacy. Review, lab, consultation, pharmacy and shipping needs can affect timing.
Laboratory testing
Labs are separate—and clearly identified.
Laboratory testing is not included in medication pricing. If a product requires labs, the requirement is shown in the storefront during the process.
Required or elective tests can be selected and purchased in the storefront for completion through a local Labcorp or Quest Diagnostics location. Qualifying existing results may also be uploaded through the portal when permitted.

Four-week renewals
Your order renews automatically every four weeks. A clinician reviews and approves each refill before fulfillment.
Optional monthly check-in
Complete the optional questionnaire to give your clinician the information needed to consider dosage adjustments.

Use the message center for clinical questions, requests for information and fulfillment updates. Altro will contact you if a video visit is needed.

Independent clinicians available through the Altro platform provide medical review and prescribing services. They are not employees of Utah Metabolic Health Center.

Weight-management medications can cause side effects and are not appropriate for everyone. A clinician reviews your medical history, current medications and individual risk factors before making a prescribing decision.
